The story goes, during the Age of Arcanum, the Raven Queen tasked three of her champions with laying to rest a hero of war. She sent them to the Wildmother, who bade them split the body into three sections, and for each the heroes would build a holy place as a demonstration and gift to allied gods. The champion named Clay took the hero's head to the forest and buried it in a spring, and the grounds became a reminder to the Arch Heart, so they would remember that nature is beautiful.
